Yukiko Koide Presents and Creative Growth Art Center are pleased to announce their collaboration on a joint exhibition at Art Fair Tokyo.
Since 1974, Creative Growth Art Center, located in Oakland, California, has played a significant role in increasing public interest in the artistic talent and achievements of people with disabilities. With a history of more than 40 years, Creative Growth has helped to develop Judith Scott, Dan Miller and other artists whose works are now in the collection of MOMA, Brooklyn Museum and also a part of the Collection de l’Art Brut, Lausanne.
Recently, in the West, as the border between insider art and outsider art has been collapsing, renowned museums, art galleries, and the various Biennale are eagerly including so-called outsider art. A leading force in this trend is Creative Growth, and six of their irreplaceable artists will be introduced at Art Fair Tokyo.
Participating artists: Kim Clark, Dwight Mackintosh, Dan Miller, Donald Mitchell, Monica Valentine, Alice Wong
