Tomoyuki Shinki （1962, Japan）
Inspired by the agile moves he observed at his first pro-wrestling match, Tomoyuki Shinki continues to capture the muscular bodies engaged in dynamic battles on canvas. His subjects include combat matches of all kinds; pro-wrestling, boxing, judo, Shorinji Kempo, and Muay Thai are just some examples. In Shinki's paintings, the humorous deformation and majestic colors coalesce to capture the ebullient momentum and the collision of the human bodies. He is a member of Atelier Incurve in Osaka.
